:-) Hey again.

1. The family I sit for needed someone to watch Isabel for 1.5 hours between when she got home from school and when her dad got off work, so they told someone at our church who is friends with my mom and I started doing that at the beginning of this school year. Then it sort of carried on into the summer as they both still go to work of course and there isn't school anymore.

2. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is about a girl named Francie growing up in Brooklyn. They're really poor at the beginning and her father dies so she leaves school to work. The writing is brilliant and the story is very compelling. One of the best books I've ever read. You see a lot of the ugly parts of humanity - discrimination, poverty, starvation, not to mention her aunt who goes around marrying and divorcing and sleeping with every guy on the planet.

3. Yeah, I pretty much liked the Writers Strike. I didn't like the cover, or honestly too many of the photographs. The teen guy on a tree was cool. Ben B took mine and I wasn't thrilled with it, but I know he went through a lot dealing with the zoo people. The articles themselves were better than I expected.

4. I am doing well. I had a birthmark cut off my ear last week and it is just now ceasing to hurt. I have been in a perpetual bad mood for the last two days and have probably annoyed all my friends. :-P Tonight is our dance recital, tomorrow I'm going to a family reunion in NM and I leave for camp in 2 weeks! Busy busy.
